Our wedding was simply elegant with close friends and family. It was truly a magical day. I am sure everyone says this about their own wedding, but never have you seen both the groom and bride cry together in joy (passing the bridal hanky). The hall was decorated with ivory roses, ivy and hints of lavender. God's presence was shown as the sun shined through the windows and the candle light silhouetted the wedding party. The ceremony flowed smoothly; eyes filled with tears as we lit our unity candle to the song Intertwined by "Four Bitc*'n Babes". The first kiss was sweet and loving. Everyone joined together as communion was shared. Then we left the hall as man and wife.
The reception was a tradition buffet dinner which included: baked chicken breast, roast beast, mashed potatoes and green beans. We cut our cake and feed each other. Beth feed me a big piece of cake and I feed her an even bigger piece. Our Best Man Joe was almost speechless when he gave the toast. Our first dance was to the song Unforgettable. We were lost in the moment, unaware of what was going on around us. The garter toss was not only traditional, but also funny. Mark was blindfolded and knelt in front of Beth. When he went to pull the garter off he found that he hand a handful of panties tied together. Beth's mom caught the bridal bouquet, and did a victory dance with a rose in her mouth. Our exit song was "Friend's in low places" by Garth Brooks. We were showered with bubbles as we left for our Honeymoon.
We would like to thank the following people for their love and support: Pastor Charles, Mom & Dad Rapp, Mom Dot, Niece Sam, Gin & Greg and Joe Hall. A special thanks to Mom Rapp for flowers and video tape, Greg for photographing and Aunt Sissy for videotaping the wedding.
Ok, so Mark wrote about our most wonderful wedding! Well behind the pictures were truly weird! Gin and Greg putting me in my dress, doing my make-up,hair,and getting me to the hall on time. They are very special and the best of friends.........I don't know what I would have done without them. The wedding was truly magical. On the way to the hall I felt on come this a feeling I have never felt before. When Gin and Greg and Sam fluffed my dress..I felt my heart start to pound. The music start and was time. I saw Mark standing there in the candle light. I remember thinking to myself what a goruse man. What ever did I do to get such a wonderful man. His eyes filled with tears as I came down the aill. He said I looked wonderful. That I was more then he had imaged I'd look. Everything was so wonderful. The music was great...every song felt like was about us. The smell in the air was of true love that had finally come together. I know that in all my dreams I can't have dreamt for such a wonderful day. I have to stop and thank God for all he has given us. I don't know what lays before Mark and I on our road of life...but I do know no matter what happens we will be together and we will be happy. Mark...I love you, I need you, I want you, forever and ever. Always and beyond. Love your wife!
